Santa Photo Sessions for 2026 with Teresa and Santa are about to begin! Every year we look forward to offering these memorable sessions for families. The studio is set, and we are ready to start photographing this fun event starting in September 2026.
Children have the most wonderful time in these one hour (most times a little longer) photo sessions where there's no rushing, waiting in line, etc. Kids, parents, and grandparents enjoy them, too. And so do we!

SANTA EXPERIENCE PHOTO SESSION 2026 IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA AREA-TERESA ARTHUR PHOTOGRAPHY
Santa is coming to town! We will be offering 2026 Santa Experience Photo Sessions this year, and are currently taking bookings from September through the first weekend in November of 2026.
Kids get to spend quality time with Santa. No rushing, no waiting in line. Sessions with Santa last about 1 to 1.5 hours, so kids really get to spend some great time with Santa doing all kinds of fun activities while Teresa and Dave collect the memories with our cameras.
Then Teresa creates beautiful nostalgic Americana style artwork from the images resulting in heirloom pieces that you will be proud to display for years.

2026 SANTA PHOTO SESSIONS | HELP SANTA FILL SHOEBOXES WITH GIFTS FOR CHILDREN
This year Teresa Arthur Photography is honored to offer 2026 Santa Sessions to "HELP SANTA FILL SHOEBOXES WITH GIFTS" in support of OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD, in addition to our traditional Storybook Santa Photo Sessions.
Children are invited to come and help Santa with this very special project that will bring joy to children around the world. This will be a time filled with fun, stories, conversation, milk and cookies, and a peek into Santa's bag for a special gift for each child to take home.
Children are encouraged to write a note to the put in the box with the gifts, and know that they will be helping to put a smile on a child's face Christmas morning.
Teresa will provide the shoeboxes and gifts for the boxes, and will be responsible for donating the boxes to an Operation Christmas Child location in the Northern Virginia area.

Every year we offer these heirloom portrait sessions and they always book up. They are time well spent, and loved by every family. Our sessions are not rushed and very interactive, hands on, and magical. The kids absolutely love them, and want to come back for more year after year.

Mom and Dad-Seems Like We Had Forever-But Time Went by So Fast
It has been a good while since my last post. A lot has transpired between now and then. For several years I have had to take breaks from my business to help care for family members, and in the last couple of years the breaks got longer. I would do it again a million times over. Time....something I wish that I had more of, time to have more talks, to understand, to laugh, and to care for. The list could really go on forever. Time is something that I think a lot of us take for granted. I have been guilty of this.
There's something to be said about losing both of your parents in a very short time period from one another. Two and half months. I know that others have been through this very similar situation. I know some of these people. None of us is here forever, and my parents were blessed with 88 and 84 years. However, I still wanted a little more time. I miss them terribly. Sometimes tears come on without warning, like looking at a bag of chocolate chip cookies (my dad's favorite) while shopping at the grocery store. "These folks are going to think I am nuts", I say to myself. I can smile at the memories through the tears. And at other times I smile and cry because I know where they are now, and that they are no longer sick.
Now that several months have passed, I have found the energy and desire to pick up and start again, but this time it will be a little slower. Well, because time is flying by! I have two grandbabies now, and a wonderful husband who is about to retire, and we have some catching up to do, places to go, and people to see. And in between all of that we will snap a few pictures for the wonderful people who come our way.
No time to waste! Love to everyone, and use your time wisely! ;)
2025 BAKING COOKIES with SANTA PHOTO SESSION | TERESA ARTHUR PHOTOGRAPHY | NORTHERN VA

This year we are bringing back the very fun and messy fun Baking Cookies with Santa Photo Session to interested families. This year will be a little shorter than usual, and therefore not as many openings. If you are wanting to book make sure that you reach out soon. The Baking Cookies Session is a very fun as kids get to cut out cookies using homemade play dough cookie dough, and as these are "baking in the oven" they get to decorate real cookies with real goodies that they can take home at the end of the session. Children and their families always enjoy these sessions. Kids spend real quality time with Santa in a no rush environment. We have such a wonderful time with families that we have quite a few returning families each year.

Our Nostalgic Storybook Santa Photo Sessions are always a favorite of mine. I absolutely love seeing the joy on the children's faces as we unobtrusively capture the moments in photographs. The magic of Santa is always there. I don't know who has more fun, the kids, the parents, Santa, myself...I think it's all of us! Santa photo sessions are a real special treat in our studio for the kids, and for us as well.

We always look forward to these wonderful Santa Sessions, and this year we had the pleasure of having Santa MarkV join us for some great times full of laughter, joy, surprises, and magical moments with the kids. Every year, we offer a handful of these bespoke Santa Sessions to families in the Northern Virginia area. The Santa Experience we offer is like none other in our area. We strive to bring a joyful and memorable experience for the children and their families. We don't rush our sessions, and they are packed full of fun activities throughout the hour long (sometimes a bit longer) time with Santa.
We are proud to say (mostly thankful) that we have a lot of repeat clients that come year after year. We are truly thankful for this for many reasons, and one of those is seeing these kids grow through the years, and how they change as they get closer to.....well, you know! :) Thank you, thank you to all of our families!
