What a great way to spend our anniversary this past August 17th! Dave and I went to the Flying Circus Airshow and Balloon Festival in Bealeton, Virginia http://www.flyingcircusairshow.com/. What a treat! Thanks to our daughter Kristen for getting us tickets to go. If you have never been I can tell you that it is a lot of fun. The balloons were gorgeous, and I never realized just how BIG they are! As a matter of fact this is the first time that I have ever seen one up close, other than pictures on the internet or TV. There were a ton of folks there enjoying the day whether they were observing, or taking rides in the planes or balloons. And of course it's a photographer enthusiast's dream, and there were a lot of us there! :) Dave also ran into some fellow pilots that he knew who were piloting some of the planes that were there.  If you have never been you should check it out. I think I may go for a plane ride next time! Here are some of mine (and Dave's) pictures from the day. Hope you enjoy!
