This wonderful family came to the studio for their second child's newborn portraits, and what a fun time we had with them! They even brought along their fur baby, Barney. He was such a good guy, too. I certainly enjoy getting to know our clients in the short time that they are with us. This little guy came just in time for Halloween, and of course we had to use our pumpkin newborn hats to get in on the fun!

I am going to post a few photos, and in particular some black and white portraits. Initially I didn't like black and white pictures...I love color! But, as time went on they "grew on me", and now I LOVE them. I try to present a few black and white portrait samples with each of my clients. I have learned to see how powerful a black and white image can be....how it just takes away all of the distractions, and puts the attention right where it needs to be.  For me that is the beautiful expressions on a mother or a father's face as they hold their newborn baby. Very emotional, and very powerful. Hope you enjoy!
