We love taking children's portraits! Our small in home portrait studio makes it quite comfortable and welcoming for kids and their families. This was a fun day for this little girl.

We offer these fun and unique Snowman Sessions to our clients who want something a little different. Our Snowman Sessions make great Christmas gifts, Christmas cards, and great wall portraits as well! The process for completing one of these painterly portraits starts out with your family coming to our in home studio for the photo session, and after the session is when the artistic process begins to create a one of kind portrait for your family. We welcomed this little guy to our portrait studio for a quick visit from "Santa" and to get his first Christmas portraits. What a cute little guy. This Santa was special, because that is his Daddy handing him that candy cane. I love to do this when the opportunity let me. When parents look back on these pictures I hope it brings back a memory that it was them being the Santa for their child in the portrait. Just love it.

Thank you to all of the families that visited our studio with their children to see Santa, and spend some fun time with him. As always, these sessions are a blast! It is our favorite time of the year, and Santa enjoyed coming to the studio to visit with each and every child. Here a few highlights from this season, and I hope that you enjoy looking at them. You can see the joy, anticipation, wonderment, and excitement in the children's faces as they talked with Santa, enjoyed cookies and milk, painted with Santa's magical paint, read stories and more. Best of all, each child received their special gift from Santa! We just LOVE it.

AMERICANA SANTA PORTRAIT SESSIONS by TERESA ARTHUR | FINE ART HEIRLOOM PORTRAITS
We are proud to offer a unique experience to our clients when it comes to our Santa Portrait Sessions. These sessions are not a mini session, or a mall type experience. We hire a professional Santa to come and spend time with your children as we gather pictures. A story in pictures unfolds as we gather portraits full of genuine expression over a course of two hours. It is fun to watch this happen, and an experience that your kids will not soon forget.
Portraits gathered from your session are then turned into creative works of art, taking on a traditional Americana style, and become heirlooms to pass on from generation to generation. Clients have told us that it reminds them of a Norman Rockwell scene.

Newborn photography is our specialty, and we offer lots of props, wraps, and cute outfits in our comfortable home studio. Parents love coming to our studio, and we appreciate when clients return as their family grows! This family came to us with their firstborn, and I was tickled when they called to schedule a session for the second child! I love seeing how these families with their children grow.We have a pretty specific routine when it comes to photographing families with toddlers, and all of this is explained well before the session ever takes place. That way everyone is prepared, and we come away with happy kiddos and some great family pictures in addition the newborn portraits for their newest member of the family.

We welcome small families into our in home studio, and love getting classic portraits! These ladies were so very sweet, and mama is so very proud of her girls who have chosen to serve; one a navy veteran, and the other serving in the Peace Corps. Our studio is equipped to photography small families, and we can provide contemporary portraits, or classic portraits such as these. We also offer outdoor family sessions for those who want to get outside.
I really like classic portraiture; it's timeless and fits wonderfully into any home.

In addition to specializing in Newborn portraits I also enjoy getting the before the baby pictures; Maternity Portraits! This is such a special and short time in a woman's life, and I always enjoy having expecting moms come to get their baby bump photographed. My home studio is quite comfortable, and I invite expecting moms to come and have a look before they book the session. Together we plan the session so that you get the look exactly the way you want it, and the end result is a beautiful portrait of this time in your life!
