In a previous blog post I had mentioned that this little guy was born shortly after his mom had her Maternity Portraits made with us. Well, HERE HE IS! Isn't he just the cutest thing?! This whole family are just the sweetest ever! This little guy did fantastic for his Newborn Portrait Session, and it helped that he was just about 5 days old!

It's hard to believe that I have been photographing this guy since he was about 8 years old! Now he's a High School Senior with plans to become a doctor one day! Have a great senior year, and best wishes to you Antonio in the years to come! I can't wait to see what kind of great things that you will do!

This sweet little guy looks so peaceful on our Moon Prop. This is a very popular prop in our studio, and I just love the different ways that we have used it for our tiny newborn portraits.
We also enjoyed getting some wonderful family portraits, and I just love the way black and white images bring your attention to the family connection in these portraits. What a sweet little family!

Recently Dave & I had the fun of being able to go and help my very talented sister, Anna of Anna Lester Photographer https://www.facebook.com/AnnaLesterPhotographer?fref=ts photograph this beautiful wedding for this very sweet couple, and just a good bunch of sweet folks in general! We had so much fun sharing the day with them, and we shed a few tears of joy along the way while capturing these memories for this sweet couple. I often wonder what guests think when they see the photographers crying while trying to take pictures! It was a beautiful day in Fayetteville, NC for this wedding. And for you Fayetteville NC brides, I highly recommend Anna Lester as your wedding day photographer. She is very sweet, and works very hard to capture some enduring portraits.

After sustaining a severe brain injury in an accident the road to recovery seemed almost impossible for Kyle at first glance. I can only imagine what Kyle's parents and family must have been going through in those early moments after the accident, and the days that followed. Kyle's mom, Joan Pinelli blogged about his accident, and continued on in the days, weeks, and months ahead as they progressed through Kyle's recovery. What I learned was that this is a very tenaciously competitive family with a "never give up" attitude. They faced the challenges together, and fought through. Kyle spent the majority of his recovery phase at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shepherd Center's primary goal is helping people who have suffered severe brain and spinal cord injury to return to the best quality of life possible. One of the therapies that they realized was very helpful to Kyle was music therapy, and they took full advantage of it. Along with all of the treatments, physical therapies, music therapy was also very key in his recovery process as it helped him on his recovery to communicate.
Kyle's recovery is beyond remarkable. I was completely blown away when we went to photograph him for a patient profile to be featured in Shepherd's publication: Spinal Column if you would like to read the article featuring Kyle. Before his accident Kyle, a rising high school junior, was an avid motocross racer and enthusiast. I was not expecting to experience what I did for his photo session. The pictures will speak for themselves.
Kyle is living a very independent life. He graduated high school, is currently attending a NASCAR school in North Carolina to become a mechanic, and although he is not racing anymore he is back to riding his bike! Recently, his brother, Alex treated him to a very special TECH N9NE concert, and it looks like Kyle had a very enjoyable and memorable evening with his brother! What a remarkable recovery, and what a bright future for this young man!

This little miss recently came to our studio for her ONE YEAR photo session! I can't believe that she is one already! What a little cutie she is, and I have enjoyed photographing her through her first year. It has also been a great pleasure to get to know her wonderful parents. After a few one year portraits she got into her "party outfit" and had fun with her birthday cake. We had loads of fun, lots of laughs, and can you tell that she thoroughly enjoyed her birthday cake!? Happy First Birthday, little girl!

Last spring we photographed these sweet twin girls for their one year session. We had the pleasure of photographing their first year under our baby plan that we offer to our clients. It is amazing to see how much these children grow in a year's time, and another reason we encourage parents to document this first year of their baby's childhood.
The girls were just as cute as they could be, and what a beautiful place to take them to for their portraits!

What a beauty inside and out! I had the recent FUN of photographing this very sweet young lady! She is a rising senior in her high school. We had a lot of fun just listening to some music, cutting up with her mom, and just having a blast during this photo session. I remember when this sweet girl was just a baby. Where has the time gone!? It has been a pure joy to watch her grow into a lovely young woman, full of confidence, full of promise. I know God has a great plan for her life! Best wishes to you Brooke as you enter your senior year. It's going to go fast so have fun, savor every moment, and look to the future with sweet anticipation to see what the Lord has in store for you! I can't wait (yes I can) to see you walk across that stage, and share the moment with your mom, my sweet sister Regina. Woot, woot for you Brooke!

We had a lot of fun with this little guy at the park. With his bucket of gummie worms, and stick fishing pole he was ready to catch the big one! What a fun day! This is another one of my styled children's photography sessions. I love doing this, and the kids just really get into the playful moment of day. Connor has a couple more adventures coming up later this year; it's going to be a fun photo session!

Aren't these little ladies just the cutest!? We had a wonderful time on a nice, breezy spring day in the park. These two little girls were so sweet, and we enjoyed the afternoon strolling along, picking dandelions, and having some "tea" and cookies. I love doing these themed photo sessions with children, and they just seem to love it too! What little girl doesn't like to have a tea party now and then? :)
