It was a joy to travel to Michigan to photograph Lexie and Mason's wedding day. We have known this family since Lexie was born! We love this family as if they were our own, and was so happy to be a part of their special day in this gorgeous church located near Detroit.
As I post this blog they are celebrating their first year anniversary! Happy Anniversary you two!. We wish you many years of blessings, Lexie and Mason!

In addition to photographing newborns in our portrait studio we also occasionally get the privilege of photographing their one year mark! A lot of parents will choose to do a cake smash at the end of the session after we have collected the "formal" portraits of their baby. The first year is a big milestone for babies, and we all like to celebrate!

We have a lot of fun doing high school senior photo sessions for our clients. It is great working with teens and we like making each one's session unique. We invite them to bring things along that represent who they are, and what they like. A lot of our seniors are involved in a school activity whether it be sports, music, drama, and the like.
This young man is very much into sports, and we had a FANTASTIC time getting some fun stuff for his senior portraits! Congrats Adam on your many accomplishments, and we wish you the best as you head off to college this fall!

I can't believe these kids are high school seniors graduated and on their way to college!! Well, it's a fact! And time flies! We met this young man and his family through baseball when our kids were much younger...almost "bobble heads" in helmets playing baseball. Now here we are photographing his senior portraits celebrating his high school career. We are so thankful that families and friends trust us to take these memorable pictures of their loved ones.

What a gorgeous and very sweet mama! A mother of two little boys already, she was very excited to be welcoming her little girl into the world, and even more so because she had previously gone through the pain of losing a child during pregnancy. So, this little miss was her "rainbow baby". We had such a wonderful time together, and even more special this young mother is family. She is my niece. Just love them!

Little Miss H was very welcomed by her three big brothers! She is absolutely adorable, and I know her brothers will be looking out after her as they all grow up together! We enjoyed having this family in our home studio for their daughter's newborn portrait session, and we enjoyed capturing some special memories for them. I just love the pictures of her with her brothers!

I just love getting portraits of siblings with a new brother or sister.This little guy was just the cutest thing ever!! For a little kid who doesn't like to get his picture made I think we did pretty good. He outsmarted us a few times, but in the end we all had fun and got some great pictures! What a very cute little family!

To say that these parents were over the moon when this little girl arrived is an understatement! Any birth of a child is an incredible miracle, but when I hear of the struggles that some couples have gone through to have children it just touches my heart, and I breath a sigh of relief with them when their little bundle makes it safely into the world.
Some of us may take for granted that the decision to have children will be easy, and for most it is. I used to think that way until I went through the pain of losing babies several times before the birth of my last child. This sweet couple had gone through some heart wrenching difficulties in their journey. When she came to me for her maternity portraits I prayed for her often that her sweet little girl would arrive safe and sound.
The day that I got the news that she had with no problems I wept tears of joy for them. I knew what special joy and relief they felt in that very moment.
Isn't she just adorable!!

Just an absolutely gorgeous newborn session with this sweet baby girl! I love her little feet! I also love that we have a studio that allows us to use natural light if we desire as well as soft lighting.
